The song is about many people I’ve met out on the road all jumbled up into one story of ramblers, hitchhiking and the hard times and good times they have. It subtly explains how people get to where they are and where they are going.

Livingston has a shuffling cajun fiddle playing through it with acoustic guitar, bass and drum. It rolls along like the highway with a straight ahead beat and singing style reminiscent of an old cajun tune or an early Bob Dylan style story singing with harmonica solos over top.
