05. Jenny’s Kitchen
JENNY’S KITCHEN
Follow the morning glory down the crooked path I’m here for one more story it’s gotta last
She’s going away won’t say when she’ll be back
We met in ’81 a bar on Baker Street I was alone she motioned come sit by me
Pulled up her shirt flashed a rose tattoo
I’m in Jenny’s kitchen filled with memories
Jenny’s kitchen she’s making ginger tea
Jenny’s kitchen well it feels like home to me home to me
She handed out adventure like candy on a a tray her beat up Riviera would have a lot to say
Cactus sunsets throwing whiskey on the fire
Jenny’s kitchen filled with memories
Jenny’s kitchen drinking ginger tea
Jenny’s kitchen well, it feels like home to me home to me
Lovers come and go friendship carved in stone
We fight, we laugh always find my way back
Jenny’s kitchen filled with memories
Jenny’s kitchen tell me where else would I be
Jenny’s kitchen well it feels like home to me home to me
Now she’s met another man from out of town swears it’s love this time plans to settle down
Looks in my eyes we both know how this will end
Jenny’s kitchen ….Jenny’ kitchen ….. END
