03. Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS
That waitress is the devil in drag with her tray of rum and coke
Free drinks all night at the Roulette table now I’m drunk and nearly broke
Agreed to meet you in the Keno bar my heart still on the mend
You slipped out the back with a woman in black here we go again
The wheel spins round and round Las Vegas I’m going down
Oh when will I ever learn a leopard won’t change his spots
I tried to chase my blues away more liquor and the nickel slots
Angry at myself God I’m so naive gonna fight fire with fire
Well, it’s not my style but I’m not myself this angel just left the choir
My head spins round and round Las Vegas I’m going down
I need a clean slate a slow pace
Am I too late to find a little grace
Now I’m losing it all in a gold bathroom with a man I barely know

It smells like lust and cheap perfume no cards left to show
Dropped my shoes running for the bus I will not break my stride
Gonna leave you in the desert dust Kiss this town goodbye
The wheels turn round and round
Las Vegas I’m going down .. down. Down …
