Iron Mike Announces Kristofferson Cover
Ocala, FL - In the 1960´s, a Rhodes Scholar from Brownsville, Texas joined the United States Army as a second lieutenant. He would attend Ranger school and eventually become a helicopter pilot. A second young man, from the Ozark mountains of Missouri would take a similar path, becoming a helicopter crewman in the same unit.
The crewman was the father of roots rock recording artist, Iron Mike Norton, and the Texan was none other than Kris Kristofferson.
GFO Records is pleased to announce the March 5 release date of Iron Mike Norton´s cover of Help Me Make It Through The Night, The classic country hit written by the aforementioned, Kristofferson, will hit roots rock and alt-country stations in late February. Known primarily for his blues singed rock, Iron Mike brings a driving, upbeat interpretation to the song, that has been a popular part of his live set on his last two U.S. tours.
