All those colored lights are blinkin' on the Christmas tree.
The joyful sound of carols fill the air.
I can't help think, oh how wonderful this world would be...
If it were Christmas every day of the year!

We've been doin' some last minute decoratin'.
The stockings, they have all been hung with care.
We'll leave some milk and cookies on the kitchen table.
In hopes that ol' Santa will appear.

I wish these Winter Holidays were never ending.
I'd keep my cup filled up with that Yuletide cheer.
But for now I think I'll just go on pretending...
That it's Christmas every day of the year.

When the mornin' comes we'll open up the presents.
There's sure to be a smile on every face.
Oh there'll be ribbon, bows and pretty Christmas paper...
Scattered all over the place.
