Even Cowgirls Get the Blues – We’re fans of Emmylou Harris, Gram Parsons, Rodney Crowell, Vince Gill, etc. and the country sound that developed during the 1960’s and 1970’s that was crossed with rock and roll. That crossover sound spawned one of the great writers in Rodney Crowell and we chose to include this tune on the cd. The band loves to play and sing this song. Great line – “they need their reins laid on ‘em loose” – fits Heather perfectly.
