Biography
Maestro Carlos Slivskin (in memoriam) was an Argentine who lived most of his life in Brazil. He began playing piano at the age of 4. At the age of 7 he began accompanying his father singing in the liturgical ceremonies of the synagogues in Buenos Aires. At age 12 he performed in a Puccini opera and at the age of 23 was invited by Rabbi Shiff to come live in Brazil and become "chazan" for the Jewish ceremonies.

During the years that followed, the Maestro earned recognition and consecration as a consummate master musician in the Brazilian Jewish community. His band played at countless weddings and parties. Slivskin produced and directed renowned artists, and held the position of Music Director of the College and the Renaissance Club "A Hebraica" in São Paulo, Brazil. In 1993, Slivskin was recognized as the Greatest Tenor of Brazil by APCA (São Paulo Association of Art Critics). In 2005 he married the talented singer Sabrina Shalom, who recorded and performed live with him regularly. Slivskin was also a producer for the Azul Music Label (Brazil).

In the "Com Sons de Natureza CLÁSSICOS PARA BEBÊS"
series Slivskin takes a lightweight approach to the classics from different periods with orchestral arrangements specially adapted to the baby, accompanied with sounds of nature, delivered in a sensitive musical language accessible to little ones, yet still enjoyable to children of all ages.
