Learn to Get Along
I was on my way to having everything that I wanted
Somewhere I took a wrong turn, wound up right back where I started
Thought I knew just what to do if and when my time came around
Never saw the forest for the trees until I cut ‘em down

I hate to admit that sometimes I want to quit and up and walk away
It’s easier to sometimes to make excuses than it is to find the will to stay
Giving up and giving in never got anybody anywhere anyway
I’ll come back to my senses face the consequences and
try to get along the best I can

I turned to a bottle ‘cause it took me where I wanted to go
After all the time I’ve wasted look at all what I don’t have to show
I ran out of money I ran out of luck and I ran out of friends
It’s the same ‘ol hard luck story here I am back at the starting line again

I hate to admit that sometimes I want to quit and up and walk away
It’s easier to sometimes to make excuses than it is to find the will to stay
Giving up and giving in never got anybody anywhere anyway
I’ll come back to my senses face the consequences and
try to get along the best I can
I’ll come back to my senses and turn and face the consequences and
try to get along the best I can
