ABOUT THE SONG:
My version of this classic was inspired by Rose Maddox from an early recording from The Maddox Brothers and Rose, before the days of her successful solo career. I had listened, read and gathered that Rose was a spitfire, and have always loved that about her. Hearing personal stories that reaffirmed that truth from the musicians in the studio while we recorded this track made it extra special.
