Biography
Anthony Bonnette was born in Lone Star, Texas, raised in the piney woods of East Texas on the banks of Lake O’ The Pines, the first born of Tony Bonnette and Tanya Morgan. Tony and Tanya raised their four sons in the local church, where Tony led worship and Tanya played the piano. Anthony could be found next to his Mom on the piano or singing during church services. This background would lead to many singing opportunities throughout his development such as FFA Band in High School or The National Anthem before the football and baseball games he played.

After graduating high school, Anthony bought his first guitar and began writing his own songs, “Every Time It Rains” was the first of many. A brief introduction with a music producer in Dallas, TX led Anthony to Nashville where he recorded his first two singles, “Every Time It Rains” and “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now.”

After his first recordings were under his belt Anthony came back to Texas to perform on every opry and theater stage he could book. After discovering that the music business was slow going, Anthony joined the working class and got to work. Growing up the son of a bricklayer, Anthony had vast knowledge and experience in construction. This experience served him well through the years and still does, as he owns and operates his own business in alarms, surveillance, and smart homes.

Even though life dictated that Anthony got back to work, his heart never left music. He still played and developed his musical talents as well as continued to write songs. One song he wrote and composed, “Funny Man,” was published by Bluewater Music, produced by Merle Haggard and Toby Keith and covered by Rodney Carrington for Capitol Records Nashville in 2009.

In 2010, Anthony found himself to be a fixture in music jams across East Texas, mainly for playing banjo. With his love for country music and people he began attending music festivals.

During the COVID 19 shutdown of 2020 Anthony, along with the rest of the world, rediscovered some of his personal time. This time at home gave Anthony a moment to focus on his music. He and his wife, Holly, started a YouTube Channel. The first video published featured Anthony covering a BJ Thomas song, “Lord I’m Just A Baby.” This song was later released as an EP, “Covers 1,” on Bonnette Son Records label with, “Little Mountain Church House.” Bonnette Son Records also released singles “Diamonds and Gold” by Tony Bonnette and “Awesome God” by Tanya Davis in 2020.

You can still find Anthony on his YouTube Channel covering some of his favorite songs as well as interviewing other musical artists on his show, “Come And Pick It,”, and sharing his music travel experiences. Anthony’s most recent release is a song he wrote, “Just A Heartache Ago,” which is still one of his top ten most viewed videos on YouTube.

Anthony is currently working on a new project with the first single, “Upshur County."
