12 Canyon Winds
I don’t mind the warm winds down the canyon,
and I don’t mind the cold winds from up North.
And I don’t mind the rain
when my companion
keeps me close at night
and holds me safe and warm.

Canyon Winds,
as you rage into the night
we huddle with our backs against the wall.
Canyon Winds,
when you’ve given up the fight.
you’ve warmed us
now the rains begin to fall.

I don’t mind not knowing where I’m headed,
and I don’t mind just heading out alone.
And I don’t mind if the path I take has ended.
Those winds come along and
push me down another road.

Canyon Winds,
as you rage into the night
we huddle with our backs against the wall.
Canyon Winds,
when you’ve given up the fight.
you’ve warmed us
now the rains begin to fall.

I don’t mind the struggles that life throws me,
and I don’t mind the fear of the unknown.
And I don’t mind the whistling of the canyon,
I sometimes even try to sing along.

Ooh, as you blow,
Ooh, I shall go,
Ooh, as you blow,
I shall grow.

Canyon Winds,
as you rage into the night
we huddle with our backs against the wall.
Canyon Winds,
when you’ve given up the fight.
you’ve warmed us
now the rains begin to fall.
