Under The Blood

Long ago , a place called Calvary , was where our precious Lord was crucified .
Such grief he bore for all our sorrows ,
upon a wooden cross our Savior died .

He was wounded and chastised ,
for all the world to have such peace within .
He was bruised and despised ,
he freed the world of every sin .

Verse :
When you're under the blood nothing can hurt you ,
Jesus took the pain we could not bare .
Oh what a price he paid for our freedom ,
he was forlorned and no one would care .

He was rejected for the love he gave ,
and buried like a sinner in a rich mans grave .
He was afflicted and we were healed ,
by his stripes a sinful world his love would save .

Jesus you died at Calvary ,
to save the world from all it's sin .

for a new covenant that was to begin .
