Biography
Andy Frisinger short bio
Andy Frisinger was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and started his passion for music at an early age. He dedicated his time to leaning to play and mastering the sounds of the saxophone. it was many years later that he learned he also could captivate an audience with his vocals.
After finishing his college degree in music engineering, he moved out to Los Angeles to pursue music full-time. But, after 7 years, he wanted to be closer to his roots & decided to move back to be closer to his family. They had since been relocated to their original hometown of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Andy began sitting in on gigs & getting a name for himself in west Michigan. He eventually moved into Grand Haven, Michigan where he has lived for the past 5 years.
Since being back home, Andy has been able to focus on developing his music & putting together a sound that is like nothing else. He began writing his album in 2012 & has just completed the final product in June 2014. He not only wrote the album, but also demonstrates his vocal talent by singing lead on each song. Of course, he skillfully incorporated the soulful sounds of the saxophone throughout the album. He was able to include 17 other talented west Michigan musicians on the album to make the final product a true “Pure Michigan” collaboration.
When he is not promoting the album, ‘Not Quite Alone’, you can find his band entertaining crowds around west Michigan. Andy Frisinger Music can be enjoyed at such places as Odd Side Ales, Joe’s Wooden Nickel, Kirby, Grand Rapids Brewery, The B.O.B., Gun Lake Casino, & Dockers.
