Biography
With a knack for song-craft and a boundless passion for the guitar, Andrew Wakefield has fast become a western North Carolina bluegrass fixture while word of his talent continues to spread further. Weaving old and new, blurring genres, and putting on one of the best live shows around, Andrew brings the bluegrass scene something always needed: a style of his own.

A burgeoning solo career bore fruit in March of '23 in the form of an LP entitled Bluegrassish. The record features Asheville-area bluegrass players including grammy-winner Charles Humphrey III, Nick Dauphinais of the Larry Stephenson Band, and members of Songs From the Road Band, The Well Drinkers, Supper Break, and Queen Bee and the Honeylovers.

“Catchy songwriting, blistering guitar solos and a jam-around-the-campfire feel make Andrew Wakefield’s newest offering, Bluegrassish, an instant classic. This 11-track LP is sure to resonate with bluegrass fans, while an unmistakable “ish” welcomes crossover listening appeal.”
