Biography
Ancient Universal is an electronic artist from Southern California, United States. Ancient Universal consists solely of singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Hernandez and was formed in 2009.

History

Hernandez started playing in bands around age 17. He was the guitar player and singer in a Semi-Nu-metal rock group called Carnell. The group lacked a stable bass player though so Hernandez, the drummer of Carnell, Andrew Cota, and guitar player Charlie Jaramillo went on to form the alternative rock group Stonehedge. Hernandez intially started as the lead singer and rhythm guitar player until Jaramillo and Hernandez decided to split vocal duties. On the downtime between recordings with Stonehedge, Hernandez spent much of his time writing new songs. With a new MIDI synthesizer and some songs that were still floating around, he chipped away at what would become Blended Blue.

Ancient Universal was formed in 2009 by Hernandez and the debut album was first released in July 2011. Combining a mixture of sounds and genres, the eclectic debut album became a project that was a mesh of every influence Hernandez had ever had. Electro style.
