Gone Not Forgotten

Amy wrote this song in 1983 the same year Mark wrote Now She's Gone. We felt they belonged together, and they gave Gone ... aloft half of it's name.

When we recorded it we were struggling with the right rhythm for the song, when Steve Kuether the recording engineer and great musician (keyboards), arranger, and band leader came in from the control room and said, "I don't want to step on any toes, but I think we should try a Bossa Nova." We collectively scratched our heads for a moment, and he urged us to, "just give it a try." Perfection!! Mark always gets goose bumps when he hears this song.
