Navigate your Heart
Verse 1
Why is it so difficult?
To find the words that you want to hear,
And why, am I acting so nonchalant,
Every time we’re far but yet so near.
And you, you’re racing past ahead of me,
I’ll catch you up with my horse and cart,
And now I’m pretty sure I’ve got the map the wrong way round,
I’m trying figure out how to navigate your heart.
Verse 2
And so what happened to the innocence?
We look around for someone else to blame,
And you, you’re stuck in your ambivalence.
When all I want from you, is this acclaim.
And still, I’m running out of road can’t you see,
The traffics stopped I’ll wait for it to start,
And now I’m pretty sure I’ve got the map the wrong way round
I’m trying figure out how to navigate your heart.
Verse 3
And so I’m acting all somnambulant
I’ll far asleep with you in my arms
And help, someone call an ambulance
There ‘s gonna be an accident with your charms.
And so I’ll get the A to Z guide out
But that never fails to tear us apart,
In the end, I’m pretty sure I’ve got the map the wrong way round
I’m trying figure out how to navigate your heart.
