Town Called Misery
This is piano pop in the vein of early Joe Jackson. It’s a song about a girl who escapes her small town to start a new life in the big city, a classic pop cliche, in the tradition of The Beatles’ glorious She’s Leaving Home. It’s a nostalgic song though because there’s no hiding anymore since we all live inside the internet now and no one can run away from the past that lives on our screens.
