Biography
Up and comer Alan J. Bloom blends rock, funk, reggae, and folk to create a unique sound that is at once personable and unpredictable. His intense nature makes every note he produces raw but sweet with passion. His original lead rhythms and strong lyrics make every song exciting and innovative. Some of Alan's song inspirations include love, death, mermaids, and lust.
From the death of his brother to the 1100 mile trek to Nashville, TN there have been several twists and turns to make the road as rocky as possible. Alan says, "I have never let anything get in the way of my dreams. I came down here with $100 in my pocket and have stood up to the tests of homelessness and unemployment. Now that I've been playing some smaller gigs and building a great following I think it's time I play some real gigs."
While living in Connecticut he played all over New England from Maine's Old Orchard Beach to downtown New York City's Buster's Garage. The most gigs he played in one year is astonishing, racking up 255 dates successfully with a 100% call back rating.
Junior Padilla's sweet beats and licks add so much flavor to the stew as well as Bernard Lackner's juicy bass lines. An absolute wall of sound with just three players will have any person who hears this music stand up and pay attention.
How many times have you asked yourself, "What do I feel like listening to?" Well, here's your answer. Alan J. Bloom.
