Biography
Will Jackson learned guitar from his father and uncle, growing up in Detroit. Will's father, Eddie Jackson was well known Detroit musician with many recordings to his credit. Will's first band, the Tidal Waves had a radio hit with Farmer John in 1966, and Will has been a working musician ever since with acts including the world-renowned "Princess of the Rockin' Gospel Blues" Sharrie Williams, mid-Michigan favorite horn band Soul Xpress, and Robert Bradley who recorded for four albums for RCA and two for Vanguard.
Where There's A Will There's A Way is a culmination of Will Jackson's long and distinguished career as a musician and songwriter. Twelve original songs steeped in R&B, flavored with Southern Rock and a whole lotta blues. Of course, Will needed a little help recording this collection, so he called on some of the top go-to musicians in Michigan, including Matt Burgie, Lavel Jackson, Tony Purifoy, Loren Krantz, Drew Pentowski and Scott Vandell.
