Havin' A Ball
I wrote this song about being in the Navy, and how being on the road is not all it's cracked up to be.

Havin’ a Ball
-Here I am out on the road
Playin for people, putting on a show
In this town I’ve been to before
But when it was I don’t know
I’ll play and sing with all of my friends
Smile to the people just like we’re kin
I’ll jump on the bus, and head down the road
And do it all over again
Chorus:
Some look up to me, some look down
And some ain’t lookin at all
If they ask you how I’ve been doing
Just tell them I’m having a ball
_The lure of the highway is a mistress to me
I can’t wait to greet her and see what we see
I love to go, but I hate to leave
She got me when I was thirteen
I miss my dear family back home
I call each day and talk on the phone
I tell them I love them, and bid them goodnight
And fall asleep all alone
Chorus:
Some look up to me, some look down
And some ain’t lookin at all
If they ask you how I’ve been doing
Just tell them I’m having a ball
Chorus: Repeat
