Wayne Baker Brooks has been steeped in blues all his life. Although his famous father raised him, he is self-taught and has been blazing his own musical trail. In 1998, Wayne co-authored the book, Blues For Dummies with his father Lonnie Brooks, rocker Cub Koda, and Dan Aykroyd. In 2003 Brooks started his own label, Blues Island Records. His first release was the four-star debut album Mystery in 2004.
Sugar Blue is a renowned Grammy Award Winning harmonica player who also grew up surrounded by music. Throughout his career he collaborated and played with various artists such as, The Rolling Stones, Willie Dixon, Stan Getz, and Bob Dylan. Sugar Blue is a true performer as he plays the harmonica with an eccentric zeal. He released the album Threshold in 2010, and continues to evolve as an artist after almost 40 years of performing.
