I'm just a little old fashioned

I'm still stepping out opening doors for ladies in line
at the grocery stores
I'm still pushing in her chair at the kitchen table
I'm still tipping my wide brimmed hat when ladies walk by looking like that
I'm just a little old fashioned whenever I am able

Some people say chivalry is dead but I come from a family traditionally bred
courtesy was always just a part of my childhood ways
I didn't mind helping older ladies cross the street, if there weren't enough chairs I'd give up my seat
I guess I was just being old fashioned just cause I was able.

Love really is a wonderful thing, when mixed with respect the angels will sing
Cause they're not used to seein it how it used to be.
I know it put a tear on my Grandpa's face when baby walked the isle in her Grandma's lace
