Irons In The Fire
All these irons in the fire, every dream the day is done
Never quenching my desire to hit the road and run
Where’s all the freedom I’ve been hoping for for so long?

Just another morning, the sun is on the rise,
A bitter cup of coffee, wipe the sleep out of my eyes
Lacing up my boots, hoping I might find
A chance to get away leave it all behind
Where’s all the freedom I’ve been hoping for for so long?

I jumped on this rollercoaster working til I die
Like most everyone I know, barely getting by
Living day to day, spinning round and round
Trying to fill an empty glass, just to spill it on the ground
Where’s all the freedom I’ve been hoping for for so long?

Then I stop to watch the setting sun
And realize all the things left undone
Among these irons in the fire of my soul
The hardest part of moving on is letting go

There’s all the freedom I’ve been hoping for for so long
There’s all the freedom I’ve been hoping for for so long
All the freedom I’ve been hoping for for so long
