Billy had a hankering to do a bluegrass nugget, a popular song that folks could recognize, and that the boys could “unleash” on. There was a desire to do some “shredding” and after toying around with rendering this our way, in a sped-up 4/4, we felt that we could have a lot of fun with Before I Met You. It was a favorite song for many of us in Rock Hearts, in the slower 3/4 timing that we were first exposed to. But that had already been done, so we wanted to take a shot at doing this song in a way that was more fitting for our brand of bluegrass.<br />

Austin and Alex spent a full day working out the vocal arrangements for this song. We love performing the song and it usually leaves the audience pretty hyped up.
