I meant to tell you yesterday
Before today got in the way, of our tomorrow
I guess I know you always knew
But somehow now that just won’t do, to ease the sorrow
So much that I forgot to say
Now I’m gonna say it anyway, because it matters
And maybe I’m a little late
But Heaven will just have to wait, a little longer

I wish I’d took the time to say I’m sorry
For all I’ve said and done
I thank you for the light, you shown on me
Was brighter than the sun
And maybe let you know, how much I love you

But God I really miss your face
Give anything for one more day, to be together
