Sideman to the Stars, Troy Engle Steps Out On His Own With His First Solo Bluegrass Album, Southern Skies
After a 20 plus year career backing up the likes of Patty Loveless, The Isaacs, Larry Sparks, Leon Russell, and many more of the top artists in Bluegrass, Country, and Gospel music, multi instrumentalist/singer/songwriter Troy Engle, has struck out on his own with an all original Bluegrass album. "Southern Skies" features 12 original songs, written, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Troy. He sang all the vocals, and expertly played guitar,mandolin, banjo, fiddle, dobro, viola, cello, upright bass, and percussion on this project.

All of the songs were penned by the Troy, who has written several Bluegrass #1's with friends Dixie and Tom. T Hall. The tunes on this album range from uptempo, hard driving Bluegrass, to heartfelt acoustic Country, to upbeat Americana with a good dose of faith and family thrown in there for good measure.
