I was born in the back seat of a Greyhound bus... well, almost!
With Bryson & Jill expecting their first baby in late December, they ended their 7th U.S. tour early enough on the West Coast to make it back to Arkansas where their midwife was to assist them in the birth of their first baby. Jill began having 10 second contractions in New Mexico that persisted until Dallas. From Dallas to Texarkana, Arkansas the contractions exceeded 50 seconds and Jill's water broke. Bryson called the midwife around 4 AM on December 6th & she instructed them to pull over, find a well lit spot, warm up the vehicle and have the baby. Jill and Bryson did just that & Jedidiah Jason Van Cleve was born into the world at 5 AM in Hope, Arkansas. Thanks be to God; just a day before in New Mexico, a new Pastor friend of theirs who had a paramedic background instructed Bryson how to tie off & cut the umbilical cord in case the birth happened on the road. Similiar to the Allman Brothers tune "Ramblin' Man", Jedidiah was born in the back of a RV, rather than a Greyhound bus.
