I don't like those old city streets

I've got to have that island dirt beneath my feet

The island life and the island way

I've got to have it lord, everyday

The city life ain't no life for a tropical man

People and traffic seem to just fence me in

And I can't be free darling, staying here with you

But I can't take that city life every day
