I wrote this one morning late winter, early spring last year in the bedroom. I'm pretty sure we were still in our pajamas and I'd just bought a couple cups of coffee from the kitchen. I wrote the lyrics out pretty quickly as I drank the coffee, and then grabbed Jan's little Levin parlour guitar, which was on a stand across from the bed. I just sang it over a form I call "Jimmy Martin" changes - a lot of his songs use this same progression. I guess it's just about making some time for frivolous things. But I love the track and love playing mandolin to Del McCoury's guitar and Cory Walker's banjo here. It sounds like first generation bluegrass.
