I came up with song in the midst of a cold Minnesota winter dreaming about warmer days in North Carolina. During the day it was so hot that the fish just sank to the bottom so if you wanted to go fishing, you went at night. That’s when the muse jumped and spun a story about a sultry night by the fishing hole. The musical feel is southern fried Fred Neil meets Randy Newman.
