Ain't Nobody
Ain’t Nobody

The fire is more than the sum of the flames
But if two join together, are they each still the same
If one’s burning out, which one's to blame
Ain’t nobody knows
Wind from the west, wind from in the east
Fanning the flames, that burn down the trees
If it’s meant to be felt
then why is not seen
Ain’t nobody knows
Ain’t nobody smart enough
Ain’t enough books on the shelf
We think we know it all
We don’t even know ourself
It puts out the flame, or floods a whole town
Might let you float, might make you drown
Why it lifts one boat, and pulls another one down
Ain’t nobody knows
Spirit moves in mysterious ways
In the wind, on the water, or comes down in a flame
All over creation or just in one place
Ain’t nobody knows
Ain’t nobody smart enough
Ain’t enough books on the shelf
We think we know it all
We don’t even know ourself
