Rock'n'Roll
We spend our time playing rock’n’roll
It sure as hell don’t pay the bills but man it soothes our souls
You can tell the way we wear our clothes
From the docs on our feet to the cheap sunglasses on our noses
We’re in bed by 6am, wake up around 4 & then we do it again
Some people say we’re slavin’ to no end
But they don’t know what it feels like when the show begins

Shots lined up at the front of the stage
Shadows moving through a purple haze
Voices calling come on let’s go
To the rock show, start the rock show, ready set go

We waste our time chasing after fame
We should know better by now but we’re addicted to the game
We get a thrill when people know our name
You’ll see it up in lights & written down in the weekly music pages
We sit tight until the show goes on
Then we’re the life of the party until the break of dawn
We don’t really see nothing wrong
With living it up until we’re dead & gone
