9. Birnie Bouzle/Bull at the Wagon: A traditional Scots song composed by James Hogg “the Ettrick Shepherd” in the 1800’s. Now spelled Burnieboozle, it’s an area in the city of Aberdeen. Allan always loved the song, but didn't like the tune, so he composed a new one. We segue into an old time tune called "Bull at the Wagon" that Janie has been playing “forever,” learned from the Lewis Brothers' 1929 recording-played with the addition of a Scottish accent.
