Generator is exploding onto the scene with smash tracks "Bits & Pieces" and "Stay", the world is taking notice of this hit crafting song writer and performer.
Easton's success kept growing. In 2007, he was asked by Universal to "write a hit" for and upcoming female vocalist Nora J.. The song he created "Cool Summer Day" was a 'home run' as they called it, but the artist decided NOT to become a recording artist, so Andy kept the tune and added it to his repertoire. Andy was also asked to write a second song for another upcoming artist and she too didn't move forward with Universal. That song "Apology" is gaining viral response on myspace along with Andy's newest tune "Selfish". Easton has proved himself time and time again as a crafter of great songs.
2007-8 brought Andy Easton & The TIN ROOF into the international spotlight as well through the hugely popular European website: NumberOneMusic.com Andy and the band have been in the Top 5 of two separate genres in the last 8 months. Rock & Country/Pop. The band has made the choice to stay in the Country/Pop genre and they are now in the #12-22 spots of the AllTime Top Chart with all 10 of the songs loaded to the site. Most of the tunes have been in the top 2 of the entire site and ALL have been in the Top 4 since they were loaded.
Also in the European market of Italy, Andy has written a smash set of english lyrics for the Pop band "MomoFamily". The tune "Animal" is being released to the US market this year and Andy and the band will be touring with MomoFamily band in the coming months nationally.
Other mainstream outlets have also been eager to showcase Easton's talent as a performer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (in addition to acoustic and electric guitar, he also plays piano, ganjo, drums and bass) as is always being asked to play on his peer's upcoming recording projects.
Easton has become a must-see act on the road, a certified headliner, selling out shows on his own. Anyone who's witnessed one of his concerts knows it is on stage where Easton truly shines with the ability to stretch out musically and to connect with his audience. It is this connection and energy that he receives from his adoring fans that drives him.
But the CDs only tell part of the story, Andy Easton first came to prominence at a very young age (14) in the midwest as a drummer for his local rock, jazz and fusion bands and becoming a studio player for other bands in the area. After successfully becoming a master of drums and latin percussion, and sitting in with jazz masters Pete Eye, Milt Able, Russ long and Tommy Ruskin, Andy desired learning piano and guitar. So, he taught himself to play. This launched him out from behind the kit and into the spotlight as a writer by the age of 19. He then ventured out across the midwest as a solo artist performing in Kansas City, Colorado, and Missouri for the next few years. But Easton was just getting started. The recent change from drummer to frontman/singer/writer, took Andy to St. Thomas USVI to perform for the clubs all throughout the Caribbean for the next 3 1/2 years. Easton forms the new group "Andy Easton & The TIN ROOF" in St. Thomas, named after a song he wrote while in the Lake Ozark area. Andy and TIN ROOF would rise quickly to the top of their game, recording their first EP "Take a Good look" which would sell 4,000 copies in 3 short months before they relocated to Atlanta Ga..
