Giant Step
I had a good life in Tokyo, I was busy as a bee
But I knew well that I wasn’t who I wanted to be
So I quit my job, then I left my home
That was the day I took a giant step

I landed in Nashville on the gospel ground
But I couldn’t find my favorite rock’n’roll sound
Then I headed for Boston, to the dirty water
That was the day I took a giant step

I went to a college but I didn’t fit in
Lost in the snow, I got to take it on the chin
Soon I found myself in the California sun
That was the day I took a giant step

I guess I look like a rolling stone
But I’ve tried and tried to make it on my own

After all, I came back to Boston with my songs to play
Now I pack my guitar and I hit the endless highway
I’m gonna find my road ahead
Each step may seem so small
But someday I’ll look back and say
That was the day I took a giant step

There’ll be a day I’d take a giant step
It might be today I’d take a giant step

There’ll be a day I’d take a giant step
It might be today I’d take a giant step
