Then Jesus Came
“Then Jesus Came”

Jerry Salley
Luke 7:11

Vs1)
A widow slowly walked beside a lifeless body
As it was carried through the streets of town
Her only son had died and left her grieving
And every heart was breaking in the crowd
Her prayers had been in vein
Her son could not be saved

CH)
Then Jesus Came
And everything changed in a moment
Then Jesus Came
And crying turned to tears of joy
As her boy began to breathe - mercy met a desperate need
All was lost to brokenness and pain
Convinced no one could hear the prayers she/I/they prayed
Then Jesus Came

Vs2)
Drowning in a sea of self-made heartache
Persuaded that all hope had disappeared
Slowing drifting deeper in the darkness
Shackled to my loneliness and fear
Sinking to my knees
No one could rescue me

Chorus)

BR)
Like the blind man who couldn’t see
The lame who’d given up
The unclean leper begging in need
Of a healing touch

Chorus
