You Said Goodbye

During the summer of 2020, I received a very early morning phone call from my parents informing me my brother passed away the night before. The news was devastating to say the least and my family has been coping with his loss ever since. Sometimes, something can happen that changes you forever. These moments can be traumatic and tend to replay in your mind over and over and over. I believe music is therapeutic and I wrote the song “You Said Goodbye” to help me understand his passing and let myself grieve. It may seem dark and depressing but it’s really just about saying goodbye to someone you love and hopefully somehow, someday you will be reunited.
