Johnny’s been running on empty for 17 weeks now – He checks into a room at a cheap Hotel
Caught in the glare and running nowhere and dizzy in the daze of a Gasoline haze
He’s looking for a way out down the barrel of a gun.

When they reached the Waterfall and Johnny said `Jump`, Sherri said `Honey it’s over`

Sherri she’s just a good time girl – empty head and all in a whirl - Sherri she’s in love with a credit card.
Sherri she’s sweet for a real fast car gets on her back and twist in the sack
The only thing she loved about Johnny was his credit card.

The Cops bust in and break down the door
Johnny – he’s dead on the floor. And the last thing that Johnny thought is blown up the door.
The Old cop says in his Radio ` Got us another dead body –another John Doe. It’s another lonely guy with nowhere to go`.
