Story behind the song:
“Lay Them Down” is special because it is co-written by all four (then current) members of the band. The song was initially inspired by a chandelier made of empty wine bottles but quickly evolved into the idea that life’s burdens can be overwhelming. The verses allude to one’s struggle with alcoholism and heartache, but the more universal chorus aims to connect all of humankind by suggesting that everyone faces hardships along their journey, and thus, no one is truly alone. Since the song is co-written, each band member offers a unique perspective of the song, but overall, it is meant to be a message of hope and encouragement." Katrina Kolb
