Story behind the song:

“Stay” is unique in that it is the only song on Redbird to feature all three vocalists (Emily, Lauren, and Melissa) as lead, whereas Spanish Moss Sirens contains three tracks that incorporates multiple lead vocals verse-by-verse. Lauren first introduced the idea of “Stay” to the band during a writing session while we were in Monticello, Florida. We all sat around on a most beautiful porch and created the song. Each (then current) band member wrote a verse, and we all worked together to configure the melody, which makes this song a particularly special co-write." (-Katrina Kolb)
