You Got Me

Dean Raymer booked shows for Royce and Jeannie Kendall, and was a lifelong friend. Dean called Bill Whyte, of WSM Radio and told him Jeannie was looking for some songs. Jeannie had known Bill from years back when she and her Father, Royce had helped produce an album for him at Porter Waggoner Studios. Bill called Jeannie, and "You Got Me" was "pitched" to Jeannie by Bill Whyte, along with some other great song writers. When Jeannie talked to Bill she told him she was looking for "Happy songs" and he told her he had one that would be a great duet with Carl Acuff Jr. and have some great harmony. She loved it immediately and had a "good" feeling about it. Jeannie and Carl put this rockin tune together with a Country Rock beat and great harmonies. It is their title cut to their new CD which includes 7 new songs.
