Plain Air Ride
For most of my life I’ve kept my feet firm on the ground
Not one for big adventure I like to be safe and sound
But I’m about to make a change my friend it probably won’t be long
Til Jesus splits the eastern sky and calls his children home

I’m gonna fly through the sky faster than the speed of sound
Swifter than greased lightning when the saints all leave the ground
I’ll have no need of an aeroplane to get me where I’m bound
I’ll taking off on a plain air ride when I hear that trumpet sound

I ain’t rode the rails or sailed the seas I don’t fly the friendly skies
I never took a trip down the Mississip or climbed a rocky mountain high
And it amazes me to think that we put a man upon the moon
But a trip up there won’t near compare to the trip I’m taking soon

I’m gonna fly through the sky faster than the speed of sound
Swifter than greased lightning when the saints all leave the ground
I’ll have no need of an aeroplane to get me where I’m bound
I’ll taking off on a plain air ride when I hear that trumpet sound

I’m gonna fly through the sky faster than the speed of sound
Swifter than greased lightning when the saints all leave the ground
I’ll have no need of an aeroplane to get me where I’m bound
I’ll taking off on a plain air ride when I hear that trumpet sound
I’ll satisfy my need for speed when I hear that trumpet sound
