Biography

The Burnett Sisters Band consists of five members who create a unique blend of energetic music in the folk, old country, and bluegrass traditions. Establishing themselves as a gospel quartet, all four sisters began singing and playing together at local venues and churches in their early youth with inspiration from various artists including Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Doc Watson, and The Carter Family. Currently performing professionally as a five-piece string band across the United States, The Burnett Sisters Band has established the name of a highly entertaining, engaging, and enthralling group of musicians driven by haunting sibling harmony vocals. The band’s sense of humor and professionalism on stage adds to their captivating performance, as they continue to astound audiences of all ages. Products of the very successful JAM (Junior Appalachian Musicians) program, the siblings strive to carry on the roots music traditions, while providing their own characteristic renditions of classic favorites and originals.
