The Badly Bent Releases its 3rd CD, “Too Late To Care”
Durango, CO: The Badly Bent is a bluegrass band which has been together since 1998. Based out of Durango, Colorado, the band has performed at over 100 festivals across the US. Winners of the 2005 Telluride Bluegrass band competition, The Badly Bent has made a name for themselves as a high energy, entertaining ensemble, appealing to both bluegrass traditionalists as well as the more progressive audiences.
“Too Late To Care” contains 13 tracks, of which 5 are songs written by band members and 8 from a variety of other sources, ranging from “Shotgun Down the Avalanche” (Colvin/Levanthal) to “Mansion on the Hill” (Williams). The project represents the bands interest in combining songs from a variety of genres and putting them to bluegrass instrumentation. The CD was recorded and mixed at Scooter’s Place (Durango, CO) and mastered at Airshow Mastering (Boulder, CO).
The Badly Bent is comprised of Cindi Cone Trautmann (fiddle, vocals), Patrick Dressen (guitar, vocals), Mark Epstein (banjo, vocals), Guy Ewing (bass), and Joel Denman (mandolin).
