After the Fall

There was a mission
There was a mansion
There was a moment
I was alone

I took a deep breath
Under a secret
I felt a chilling
Call in my bones

I opened my eyes
Just in time to see
An ominous swell
A dark wave approaching me

I didn’t ask why
Just prepared to die
As that wave passed over me

Confused and speechless
Flotsam and Jetsam
Pieces of me

I drifted aimless
Naked and nameless
Outcast and shameless
Lost in the sea

I looked around
Sharks were circling me
Almost wanted to drown
When you came up to me
(In this surrealistic sea)

I didn’t ask why
Started to cry
As you swam up and embraced me
