They Call Us Scoundrels
is an Orange County band with many influences from Cheap Trick to The Ramones. Straightforward rock and roll with strong vocal harmonies. The band consists of:
Marty Vitale - Lead vocals and rhythm guitar. Meeting up with Tony Guerriero led to a song writing collaboration which included all of their influences, namely Kiss, Cheap Trick, Redd Kross, the Ramones, and other rock and roll bands who focused on vocal harmonies, and a hard rocking sound. The formation of the current lineup of They Call Us Scoundrels
has led to a desire to present the world with all that we have to offer, which can only be described as dirty rock and roll with angelic vocals.
Tony Guerriero – Vocals and lead guitar. “That ol’ six string changed my life the moment I picked it up”. He is driven from influences ranging from Ace Frehley to Jack White. The kindred spirits of Tony and Marty shows in their songwriting. Pure synergy.
Mike Espacio – Bass player. Spawned amid the wreckage of the Southern California punk rock scene, Mike, knew from a very tender age that he had no choice but to rock and roll. Learning all of Dee Dee Ramone's bass riffs, Mike took to playing with a number of local bands, ranging from a U2 tribute band to hard core punk rock, before meeting up with Marty and Tony to form They Call Us Scoundrels
. Rock and roll will never be the same!
Joseph Garcia - Drummer. Joseph has been playing drums for the past 15 years. He grew up in the beautiful city of Downey, California. Some of his musical influences are Ratt, The Smiths, Siouxie and the Banshees, and UFO. He hopes one day to play in the beautiful city of London.
