Let A Good One Go
Let a Good One Go
Just let a good one go, not sure if I’ll ever know
What could’ve been, if I'd let him win
Would it be forever him and me
In a wooden house with the honey bees
At the top of a tree, just him and me
Once again, I’m sitting here on my own
And I’m wondering if I’ll ever be home
And the tea’s been steeping for far too long
And the quiet is deep like a ringing gong
And I’m sleeping through entire days
And the sun is out
But we’ve parted ways
Cause I let a good one go
And I’m never gonna know
What could’ve been if I’d let him win
But the show goes on, and it’s almost dawn
And I’m not quite done yet
Sometimes you gotta let ‘em go to give you and them the space to grow
And hope you’re better off that way
Tomorrow’s a new day
Let him go.
