The piece that started it all. Sometimes as a musician, you end up coming across a piece that touches you so deeply, you just have no other choice than to try to convey it yourself. My first meeting with "Eg Er Framand" truly shook me to my core, and I knew immediately that I wanted to communicate this incredibly beautiful piece myself. Since that moment, I performed " Eg Er Framand" on stages all around the world and noticed that very often it was met with the exact same intense, emotional response from the audience that I had felt myself when first listening to the song. When I had the idea to make this Norwegian folk music based EP back in spring 2023, I knew this would be the center piece of it all, as this song has taken a place deeply within my soul and always leaves me in tears, no matter how many times I perform it. Even if I have no idea who wrote this song, it speaks of the exact same feelings I have spent the last 10 years trying to capture with Sylvaine.
