"Eg Veit I Himmelrik Ei Borg" is an old traditional Norwegian folk music piece of unknown origins, that has been performed and recorded by so many different Norwegian artists. It is probably one of the most famous Norwegian folk music pieces, especially within the religious pieces. To more or less take out the connection to organized religion and Christianity, as I do not believe in this myself, I re-wrote the lyrics to this old psalm, to focus around my own spiritual belief and connect the meaning to the Sylvaine universe. With a strong sense of longing for a place far beyond, where light rules and no sorrows can be found, "Eg Veit I Himmelrik Ei Borg" became one of the most melancholy melodies on "Eg Er Framand".
